Podcasting Series for Fall 2010

This workshop will be an informational session/discussion about the theory and practice of podcasting in education. We will share the information we have presented on the wiki and lead the discussion. Participants will leave with a better understanding of what podcasting is, how it can be and is used in education, and what are the implications for teaching and learning. We will also discuss our podcasting option - iTunes U in Maricopa.

What is a feedreader and podcatcher. (10 min)

Discussion on ways to use podcasting in education. (15 min)

Discussion on how podcasting can be used to improve teaching and learning (15 min)

Discussion of the major issues that may prohibit podcasting from being successful in education. (15 min)

Brief overview of the copyright and legal issues that concern podcasting. (10 min)
