About: This session will be an informational session/discussion about the theory and practice of podcasting in education. Participants will leave with an understanding of what podcasting is, how it can be and is used in education, what resources are available to aide in creating and subscribing to podcasts, and copyright issues relating to podcasting.

About: In this hand-on session, participants will learn how to create audio using Audacity, and other online tools like Odeo. Participants will learn tips for creating the best quality audio, choosing the best optimal equipment (mics, recorders), and converting audio to optimal file size.

About: In this hands-on session, participants will learn how to create a vodcast using inexpensive camcorders. Participants will learn tips for shooting video, choosing the best optimal equipment, and converting video to different formats for different purposes (YouTube, iTunes U). No video editing.

Participants will learn how to create a podcast using a blog (Wordpress or Blogger), burn the RSS feed for the podcast, and subscribe to podcasts. Participants will also see a demo on how to create a podcast in iTunes U.

About: In this hands-on session, participants will learn how to edit video using a free video editing software program (Windows Movie Maker) and online video editing site (JumpCut). Participants will then learn how to create a vodcast using an online video sharing site, embed video into blogs, wikis, and Blackboard, and subscribe to vodcasts.
