Podcasting Usage in the Classroom

  • Duke University Podcasting Symposium: Duke University hosted the first-ever academic symposium on podcasting from September 27-28, 2005. The two-day event featured a hands-on podcasting workshop, as well as panel discussions of the economic/business, legal, political, journalistic, and cultural impacts of podcasting by bringing together prominent members of the podcasting community with policymakers, scholars, and media experts. Audio podcasts of all symposium sessions are available via DukeCast by posting the following podcast feed URL http://dukecast.oit.duke.edu/podcasts/rss/11 any podcast aggregator application.] moved content but not entry to Golden Bib

  • Spanish Professors.Pod: Spanish Professors.Pod has to do with "Podcasting" and "Videocasting". The basic idea is to invite other Spanish faculty members and their students to make an audio recording in Spanish between 5-15 minutes on a topic/subject/theme of their choice, and then share it with other colleagues and students of Spanish all over the world. Those interested would email us their audio recording(s) and we would house those recording(s) on a server here at WSU where others could come to listen, download or subscribe to the recordings of their choice. That's all there is to it. We would do the rest. This is an exciting project and has lots of possibilities.
  • Room 208: Bob Sprankle is a 3/4 Grade Teacher in Wells, ME USA. He creatively uses blogs and podcasts with his elementary students. This is a very interesting site.
